Encore Education Corporation was founded in 2007 by husband and wife, Johnny and Denise Griffin. Working with a third founder, Ms. Paula Gharib, Encore's first campus was developed in the high desert of Southern California in Hesperia California. The first school opened on 08/08/08 in Hesperia and has been serving regionally throughout the high desert ever since. Encore Education Corporation is a nonprofit organization registered in the state of California.
Encore Education Corporation has just over 200 employees and services just about 1800 students grades 7-12 on two campuses. The Corporation is overseen by an independent board of volunteers and managed by the CEO and COO. The schools are based on intertwining rigorous academics with world class arts training. Encore's students have headlined stages worldwide, been seen on TV, have choreographed for Disney, have photographed for Cirque du Soleil, and have been members of world renowned ballet companies. Alumni have also become school teachers, doctors, psychiatrists, business owners, business bankers, and prominent members of the military.
Chief Executive Officer
Mrs. Denise Griffin has an extensive background in business marketing and business logistics. She has worked for Encore Education Corporation for fourteen years. Responsible for the development of the arts programs and the marketing arts programs, Denise uses her background as a dancer, a graphic designer / visual artist, and an entertainment manager for over two decades prior to founding Encore Educaon Corporation to help make sure the students of Encore are supported artistically and acadmically.
Mrs. Griffin writes shows independently of the school as a working hobby. Johnny and she have three kids that have all been an integral part of the development of the Encore Education Corporation.
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Johnny Griffin has a business background in logistics management and has been in education in California for 23 years. As the COO for Encore for 13 years, Johnny is responsible for leading the operations staff to help make sure that Encore campuses are safe, clean, and operating properly from day to day. He also oversees the campus administration and the student discipline departments. Griffin focuses on making sure that the culture of Encore is a safe one.
Mr. Griffin spent almost two decades as a professional singer in Los Angeles. Through his singing career, he also developed acting and voiceovers skills working professionally throughout LA. He is well versed in artist management and development. He was also a school teacher for ten years while their kids were in K12 schools. Mr. and Mrs. Griffin have been married for 29 years. They have three children, one son in law, and one granddaughter. Mr. Griffin is also a great cook.
